Crop Circles - Single

There's a Crater in My Hometown nobody knows 'bout. I wrote this song about somewhere I spent a lot of time growing up that doesn't quite look the same anymore. Many of the people who spent their time their have moved on, and a lot of the memories that I made their have grown hazy. In the end, all I have left is the friendships that I made there.

Writing Crop Circles was one of the most fun songwriting experiences that I've ever had as I got to sit down and create tons of metaphors for members of my friends and family. I put a lot of care into the balance between how specific I needed to be for listeners who have no idea who these people are to enjoy it, while at the same time not including so much information that the people who I'm talking about feel publicly called out. In the end I feel very personally fulfilled. Even though the song is out there, I might be the only person who knows what all of it means. At the same time though, my friends and I from the crater can reminisce over certain lines, and so it's also a shared experience. For those reasons, I think that this song is narratively my most unique release yet.

Crop Circles is also the first single from a new EP hopefully coming out near the end of 2025.
